Comments: We believe our GSD Bandit has DM. He has been showing signs since last year and progressively getting worse. He has just started having bowel problems and it is heartbreaking to watch him decline. He is a big part of our family and we love him dearly.

Comments: My 8 year old pug was just diagnosed with DM this week, and as many of you can relate, it was a heartbreaking and devestating blow. After the diagnosis, I immediately started to search for information on the web and came across your site. What a godsend! To be able to locate this information, and to know that support is out there -- it has given me so much hope. Thank you for the incredible service of this website, and thank you for letting me know that my little Dante is not alone in his plight.

Comments: While it's heartbreaking to learn more about this aweful disease, it's helpful to find a site with such useful information. Our vet really isn't familiar w/ DM, so it's been up to us to research what's happening. Feeling so helpless as to how to comfort our baby, I'm grateful to have come across your site. I just wish we knew more about DM when the 1st vet diagnosed Sam with arthritis, 4-5 months ago. His quality of life could've been prolonged. Like you said, he still has that "spirit in his eye's", but he's starting to get tired. With all of the information you've provided, I'm hoping we'll know when it's time to make that dreaded "unselfish" descision.
Thank you.

Comments: Our GSD Lacey has DM. She just turned 7 August 1 which makes dealing with this even harder. I found comfort in the articles regarding Jack's saga. I think my husband and I could benefit from your support group as I know I can't go through this alone.
Thank you for sharing your story and your efforts to bring hope to those with a beloved friend afflicted with DM.

Comments: I have 2 beautiful "boys". They are 6 and 13 years old. My 13 year old is getting very "wobbly", we are looking for some type of treatment now for myelopathy. I was told by my vet there was nothing to do except, keep excersizing him and keep his weight up. I am rather angry at this because after reveiwing a few sites I see that Dr. R. Clemmons has some type of formula that may be followed and beneficial. I will be contacting my vet tomorrow and have a little heart to heart with him as to why he would withhold this info from me. I will start the drug therapy asap. Has anyone out there had any positive signs after doctor Clemmons therapy? Thank you.

Comments: When we took Becky to the vet we did not realize that eventually the front legs would be involved. She is now turning over her left leg, her right seems weaker, she doesn't have the stamina she used to. We are going to order a wheel chair. We have no access to swimming and she does not like the water. Do you have suggestions on cart companies? Doggone wheels and Eddies Wheels are the two I am exploring. Thank you for all this information. Catherine
