Comments: I just want to say I'm losing my best friend Kia to DM.My daughter bought Kia when she was just 6 weeks old just alittle ball of fur well Kia only wanted me so my daughter gave her to me.We bounded from day one,she is the most beautiful German Shepard inside and out, she's having diffucult times now the DM is getting worst..Kia will never be forgotten................never

Comments: my gs i beleieve is in begining stages . i had him to vet two weeks ago.been on predisone two weeks. did not help.vet wants to xray and is doing blood work. possibly mri to eliminate other problems. i will do anything for my KING but i don't want to put him through a battery of useless tests. hes ten yrs. still very active but i beleive he has dm. i live in blue bell pa. near philadelphia. my vet is dr. goldner at hickory animal hosp. please help. dana

Comments: My wonderful GS, Maggie, had had DM for less than a year. Symptoms are progressing at this time so that she is slow and cautious getting up, stumbles often and is loosing hind leg muscle mass. I'm searching for information that can help her.
